Chemical peels are a skincare treatment which uses peels to resurface the skin. This acts as a chemical exfoliant, removing upper layers of the skin and revealing a radiant complexion underneath. The glycolic acid used in chemical peels improves the look and feel of the skin, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is suitable for all skin types, but can particularly help those with acne, uneven skin tone, pigmentation and photo damage. The procedure itself consists of applying acid peels to the skin to produce resurfacing effects.
As this is a specialist course, you must hold meet the prerequisites of being a medical professional, level 3 beauty therapy or level 3 anatomy and physiology in order to enrol. This course consists of pre reading and an onsite training day. The training day will include a recap of the important theory covered in the pre reading, and also a practical session where you will have the opportunity to practice the procedure on models. The pre reading will include online learning, whilst the practical session will give you a full day of practice. Throughout the duration of the course, our highly trained staff will be on hand at all times to provide expert advice and support, answering any questions you may have.
The total cost of this course excluding VAT is £250 and the price including VAT is £300.

Course Curriculum:
Whilst on the course, you will learn all about skin structure and physiology, skincare complaints, the science behind chemical peels, how to administer the treatment itself and will receive information on all safety implications involved. This treatment can be adjusted to suit your clients individual skincare needs. Therefore, the knowledge you gain through the theory modules will allow you to analyse different skin types so you will be equipped to tailor treatments in any way necessary during practice. Practical Day
Part of the course is a practical module, in which you will perform chemical peels on models. The models will be provided by Ask Academy, so there is no need for you to arrange your own models. Our expert staff will guide you in any way needed throughout the practical session and will not only be there to help on the course, but will also be on hand to provide advice at any time during the future. This means you have access to our expert knowledge even after the course, ensuring you feel confident in all procedures at all times.
